Underground Farmer’s Market

August 24th, 2010

Americans are finding creative ways around cripplinglemonade stand8-10 regulations that  set a high bar to small business start ups, raise prices by limiting suppliers, and intrude on personal freedom — even kids’ lemonade stands are being regulated!  Public “safety,” regulations are mostly excuses for fat bureaucratic budgets and mega-monopoly cronyism (as in the recent egg, meat, produce, GMO debacles from corporate producers favored by the FDA.)  Freedom of choice by consumers and independent producers is under siege.  Here is how one group of consumers is taking direct action to regain marketplace choices and opportunities; this needs to happen in cities all across America.  Then the big job: firing politicians and bureaucrats whose regulations criminalize productive, innovative solutions that can  rebuild jobs, better nutrition, opportunities, and freedom.

War on Milk and You

August 14th, 2010

cow, waronmilkFor years, the FDA has increasingly taken upon itself to outlaw your right to choose healthy foods, herbs, and nutritional supplements.  Despite the FDA’s record of corporate cronyism, lobbyist influence, lax safety checks, and nearly zero scientific testing (it relies on manufacturer data,) these bureaucrat  tyrants think you and I lack the intelligence to run our own lives, and presume to force us to abide by their failures.  The war on sellers of raw milk is escalating, despite measurable health benefits for raw milk consumers compared to consumers of pasteurized, factory-produced dairy products.  Dr. Mercola is one of the leading advocates of consumer choice in foods and health care, and his article here gives you information you need to restore your right to choose the healthiest products for your family.

How you can help save bees — and all of us

April 23rd, 2010

It is suphoney-beesreme folly to expect bureaucracies to solve our problems.  Bureaucrats make small problems worse with one-size-fits-all mandates,  and no understanding of the diversity of  individuals and localities. Far more is harmed than helped.

While officials have been scratching their heads about the cause of bee die-offs, it’s been obvious to organic and permaculture farmers.  Each of us can help. Click HERE to read an important analysis showing simple, effective solutions.
